Supporting Baton Rouge High and WBRH

This Saturday (Sept 27), Mike Glisson and Mike Russell('63) will join Winston Day ('63)  on the radio for the semi-annual fund drive for the listener supported PUBLIC radio station with a student training program at Baton Rouge High.

Please consider calling in a donation while they are on the air between 4 and 6 PM by calling (225) 388-9030, and they will profusely thank you on the air.

WBRH is  NOT on the internet but hope to raise enough funds to be on the internet in 2015, so folks all over the U.S. will be able to enjoy great the unique programs on the station.

If you are in BR, you can tune us in at 90.3 FM or 1260 AM for some great old rock and roll from the 50's and 60's from 4 to 6 PM AND hear 3 amateur DJ's!!!! That's THIS Saturday 4 to 6.

Lets show them that the Class of '64 is still THE BEST!

The annual BRHS Mult-Class Get Together is scheduled for this April 23 at Ralph and Kacoo's on Bluebonnet.  It would be a good time for all of us to get together again with our friends from the other classes!  See info below. You can find additional info on their FaceBook page....see you there!

ANNUAL MULTI-CLASS Get-Together

Thursday, April 23, 2015

“Friendships are for a lifetime”

BATON ROUGE, LA

There has been a change in plans for this year’s BRHS BASH.  We are moving to Ralph & Kacoo’s on Bluebonnet at I-10 across from the Mall of Louisiana. Your Bash team has successfully negotiated an arrangement with them for Thursday evening April 23, 2015.

The cover charge per person will continue to be $25 to include taxes and tips. Payment will be made at the front register immediately on entering on your left.  Your can pay in cash or by credit card. You will be given a wristband. This will include entrees, sides, appetizers, salad, and dessert.  Water and tea.  There may be a soda machine as well.  We are still working on that part.

There will be a CASH bar for those wanting to partake thereof.  Did I say “CASH bar”, this was made part of our program.  Credit cards will not be accepted here. Those wanting to pay with a credit card should visit the Main Bar may do so at YOUR convenience.  Your drinks will then be handled at “the Bar” and not the CASH bar.

A Bulldog has told us that the class of 1965 will be using the Bash as their mixer for their planned reunion that weekend.  Very nice…!  We look forward to seeing them

Our best to each of you, The Bash Gang!

Just an FYI.  Most of you probably still have your 1964 yearbook.  I don't and got curious to see if I could find one online, and I did.  The East Baton Rouge Parish Library has a digital archive of all kinds of stuff, including newspaper photos...and school yearbooks, not the least signficant of which is BRHS 1964.  Here's a link to the Archive home page:

And here is the BRHS 1964 yearbook, which you can browse or download from the site:
