Marilyn Louise Baker 69 of Savoy formerly of Baton Rouge, LA died at 7:08 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Gibson Area Hospital, Gibson City. Services will be held at later date in Baton Rouge, LA. Burial will be in Green Oaks Memorial Park, Baton Rouge, LA. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Marilyn was born on May 16, 1945 in New Orleans, LA, the daughter of Robert Audrey and Mamie Jeansonne Baker. Survivors include one sister; Rita Young and brother-in-law; Landrum Young of Savoy, one niece; Laura Young, two nephews; Paul Young and Keith Young, and fifteen cousins; Julee Rae Green, Bill Green, Kay Sonnier, John Sneve, Allie Juanita Rostrum, Alton Baker Jr., Dorothy Gurley, Bob Linton, Sylvia Beuhler, Phil Baker, John Lewis Baker, Audrey Moore, Carl Jeansonne, Elywn Nicholson and Carole Marlborough. Marilyn lived most of her life in Baton Rouge, LA and graduated from Baton Rouge High School in 1964.She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Baton Rouge, LA. Marilyn was a collector of mementos. She loved old western movies and TV shows. She liked country music as well as The Beetles and Elvis, She was a St. Louis Cardinal fan and an LSU football fan and was also a trivia buff.Memorial contributions may be made to Diversified Healthcare.
