John and I maintained our long distance friendship and continued to occasionally join up for LSU home football games up until COVID19. John was my best friend at Westdale Jr High, BRHS, and LSU. We drifted apart after LSU with John going into chemical engineering in Alabama and me flitting around the World playing Air Force pilot. Over the years we played together, dated together, and our families occasionally vacationed together.
John was a great friend, a gentle soul, and incredibly loyal to friends and family.
